About Us

This website is a collaboration between the Kentucky Climate Center at Western Kentucky University and the College of Agriculture, Food and Environment at the University of Kentucky. Initial funding from the Kentucky Small Grain Growers Association and the Kentucky Corn Growers Association is gratefully acknowledged.

Soil

Soil is one of the newest datapoints that we provide. We are working to implement it on as many stations as possible. Our soil data page will provide you with Graphical Heuristics of Data we have collected on each station variables such as Soil Moisture and Soil Temperature at different depths ranging from 2" to 40" and at time intervals from 1 week to a year.

Drought

Drought is a word that strikes fear in the heart of every farmer. It is important to know if your crops are in danger of being damaged because of drought. We have imported data from the U.S. Drought Monitor to give you live data about drought location and intensity across the state. With a quick look you can know if your crops are in danger of being damaged by drought.
